Mary A. O’Connell, 86, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Braemoor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Brockton on Wednesday, October 27. Daughter of the late Cornelius and Mary (O’Connell) O’Connell, she was born in Brockton and educated in Randolph schools, graduating from Stetson High School, Class of 1942. Mary was a clerical worker for Blue Cross-Blue Shield in Boston for over 40 years before retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Blue Cross-Blue Shield Employee Association.
Mary was the sister of Joseph P. O’Connell of PA and the late Cornelius J. and George A. O’Connell. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, October 30 from 8-8:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
