Obituary

GLOUCESTER: Marilyn Louise (Catalini) Pascucci, 73, of 68 Maplewood Avenue, died early Tuesday morning, October 26, 2010 in the Lahey Clinic Medical Center, Burlington. She was the wife of Louis Pascucci, Jr.
Born in Gloucester on May 25, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Basil and Edna (Thomas) Catalini. She was a lifelong resident of Gloucester and a graduate of the Gloucester High School class of 1955.
Marilyn was an active member of the former St. Peter’s Church and it’s Ladies Sodality. She had worked tirelessly for the church, having run several fairs, worked the Open Door, and was part of the volunteer effort for cleaning the church. She had also taught Sunday school. In May of 1995, she was presented with the Meritorious Service Award by St. Peter’s Church. More recently, she was a member of the Holy Family Guild and enjoyed the Thursday Morning Book Club.
She loved going to plays and had volunteered as an usher at the North Shore Music Theater for over twenty years. She also enjoyed doing puzzle books and reading and was a proud member of the Red Hat Society. A wonderful wife, mother, sister and aunt, she will be greatly missed.
In addition to her husband of 54 years, she is survived by two daughters, Mary Louise Pascucci of Gloucester and Laurie Ann, wife of Raymond Perkins of Billerica,
a brother, Robert, husband of Barbara Catalini, five sisters, Daisy Oliver, Gloria McCormack, Shirley, wife of William Edmonds, Nancy, wife of Bruce Bateman and Natalie Roeder, and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her son-in-law, Joseph Sharamitaro, two sisters, Dianne Lopes and Giuditta “Judy” Catalini, and a brother, Basil Catalini.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning in the Holy Family Parish, St. Ann Church at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. Interment will be held in the Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Lahey Clinic Medical Center, Philanthropy Office, 41 Mall Rd., Burlington, MA 01805.
