HARRISON “SHORTY” THOMPSON, 87, passed away on October 25, 2010.
He was a retired employee of Brown Forman, a member of 18th Street Baptist Church, and an Army veteran of WW II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Thompson.
Survivors include his sons, Jack G. Thompson (Sandra) and Alfred W. Thompson; his stepdaughter, Betty Newkirk; grandchildren, Dr. Jason Thompson and Terry Newkirk; and his sister, Vernie Abell.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with entombment at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be from 2 – 8 p.m. Friday.
