Maryann Loiacono of Danvers formerly of Medford, died at home after a long illness Monday morning surrounded by her loving family. She was 64.
Maryann was raised in Medford, the daughter of the late Ponzi and the late Natalie (Moriconi) Loiacono. A graduate of Medford High School, Maryann enjoyed a 35year career as an insurance examiner for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Maryann was devoted to her large family and enjoyed the company of her many relatives and friends.
The former wife of the late Paul Cadigan, she was a devoted stepmother to Sean Cadigan and his wife Kara of Hingham and Christine Cadigan of Weymouth. She was a loving grandmother to Alyssa, Alanna, Shawn and Julianna. She was a beloved sister to Nancy Weymouth of FL and her late husband Lawrence Sr., Robert Loiacono and his companion Peggy Campbell of Medford, Susan Masley and her husband Charles of Medford, George Loiacono and his wife Gracie of FL, Richard Loiacono and his wife Kimberly of Danvers, and the late Louis Loiacono. She was the dear niece of Rino Moriconi of Malden and was lovingly cared for by her niece Natalie “Nina” Whalen. She also leaves many other nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Thursday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
