Amesbury, MA- Virginia A. “Ginny” Fairburn, died Sunday, October 17th, in Kingston, NH. She was 50 years old.
Born in Methuen and raised in Lawrence, Ginny was the daughter of Margaret (Smythe) and the late William F. Fairburn. She was educated in Lawrence and was a 1978 graduate of Presentation of Mary Academy. She graduated from Simmons College in 1982, where she had a double major in Art and Retail Management.
For many years, Ginny worked as a district manager at local retail stores across the North Shore.
She was a talented artist and a loving mother, daughter and sister. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to her mother, Ginny is survived by her two sons, Luke and Nicholas Ross DeFusco, her three siblings, Sharon and her husband James McDonald of Amesbury, William B. and his wife Nancy J. Fairburn of Salem, NH, and David and his wife Michele Fairburn of Haverhill, as well as several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, October 27th, from 4-8PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence St., Methuen. A Funeral Service will take place at the funeral home on Thursday morning at 10. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in North Andover.
