Ellen M. (Collins) Whitney, 60, of Hudson, died Friday, Oct. 22nd . She leaves her husband of 40 years, Peter C. Whitney of Hudson.
Born in Cambridge, daughter of the late Jeremiah and Jane (Gayton) Collins. She was educated in local schools and graduated from Hudson High School, class of 1968. Ellen was a waitress for many years working in local area restaurants. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and spending summers in Maine.
Besides her husband, Ellen is survived by her three children, Scott Whitney and his wife Christyn of Fairfield, CT, Sean Whitney and his wife Kerry of Clinton and Steven Whitney and his wife Andrea of Holbrook. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Brandon, Lexus, Madyson, Jackson and Mason Whitney.
She is also survived by 4 brothers, Bill Collins and his wife Carmel of Manomet, Kevin Collins of San Pedro, CA, Brian Collins and his wife Rosemaree of Plymouth, MA and Drew Collins of Blackstone, MA. Ellen also leaves 4 sisters, Mary Yesue and her husband Alfred of York Harbor, ME, Claudia Ramelli and her husband David of Clinton, Barbara Cellucci and her husband Peter of Clinton and Tisha Collins of Salt Lake City, UT. She was also predeceased by her brother Gerald F. Collins

Calling hours will be held on Monday, Oct. 25th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the: Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will be at a later date.
