Carson “Austin” Anderson, 63, of Chula died Friday, October 22, 2010, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 25, 2010, at Tifton’s First Assembly of God. Rev. Eddie Hutcheson will officiate with Roger Watson, Soloman Hill and John Jones giving eulogies. Burial will follow at the family home place. Ricky Manders, Soloman Hill, Joe Mathis, Stacey Morgan, Daniel Anderson and Alex Anderson will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Jones Construction Company.
Mr. Anderson was born on April 10, 1947 in Ocilla and was the son of Martha Anderson of Tifton and the late C. A. Anderson. He was employed with Jones Construction Company.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Geraldine Anderson of Chula; two sons, Daniel Anderson and Anthony Anderson, both of Chula; one daughter and son-in-law, April and Lee Frazier of Ty Ty; one brother, Tony Anderson of Tifton; three sisters, Elaine Meeks of Chula, Mary McAllister of Tifton and Betty Jo Walker of Abbevile; and six grandchildren, Adam Anderson, Alex Anderson, Josie Anderson, Kayla Nichols, Savannah Frazier and Austin Frazier.
