In Stoughton, October 22, 2010 John B. husband of Linda F. (Wheeler) Alvilhiera died at New England Sinai Hospital at the age of 79. Born and educated in Taunton, John was the son of the late John and Annie (Viera) Alvihiera. John was a retired Park Ranger at Allis State Park in Vermont and before that he worked at the Foxboro Company and E.T. Wright Shoe Company. John loved to travel and especially enjoyed camping. John was the father of Troy Hatfield of Milford and the late George Hatfield. Brother of Theresa Amarel and her husband John of Taunton, Anne McGann of Middleboro, James Alvilhiera and his wife Anita of Taunton and the late Francis, Frank and Anthony Alvilhiera and Grace Goodwin. Grandfather of Kelie and William Hatfield of Milford. Calling hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Sunday, October 24th from 4-7 pm. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Church in East Taunton on Monday at 10 am. Interment Central Cemetery in Carver, Ma.
