Mrs. Helen H. (Lockhart) Flaherty, of Taunton, died Thursday, October 21 at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Walter F. Flaherty. She was born 79 years ago in Boston, the daughter of the late Charles and Frances (Sanborn) Lockhart. She was educated in Boston, and had been a Taunton resident for the past 16 years. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a salesclerk for BJ’s Wholesale Club in Taunton for 10 years. Mrs. Flaherty enjoyed reading and playing bingo. She was a communicant of the former Immaculate Conception Church in Taunton.
She leaves: 2 sons: Thomas Flaherty of Stoughton and James Flaherty of Taunton; 1 daughter: Patricia Nally of Taunton; 1 sister: Mary Roberts of Oregon; 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Monday, October 25 a10:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle church at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Sunday, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. .
