Pittsfield
Julius E. Varga, 56, of Pittsfield, died suddenly Sunday October 10, while
visiting his son Mark D. Varga in Fitchburg.
Julius was born in Budapest, Hungary, January 9, 1954, the son of Gyula
and Ilona (Andrassy) Varga. They came to the United States in 1957 as
refugees of the Hungarian Communist Revolution. Julius was a six year
veteran of the U.S.Navy in the 1970's. He was employed at the former
Digital Equipment Corp. and also worked in electronics and sales.
He leaves his son Mark of Fitchburg and Mark's children Lucy and Seth
Varga along with their mother Jessica Varga. He also leaves two
daughters Sherri Martel along with her husband Philippe of Sterling and
Julianna Varga of Townsend along with her mother Diane Jalbert, as well
as his sister Marika Fernandez of New Jersey.
He was well known for his sensitivity, caring, and sense of humor. His
children will remember him as a Budapester-er, a "trend setter", and most
of all , a caring father with a huge heart.
Funeral services will be private. Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom St.
Fitchburg is assisting the family.
