Charlotte “Charley” (Lombari) Minardi, 60, of Derry, NH died Sunday December 7, 2003 at her home. She was born in Lawrence, MA on August 27, 1943, a daughter of Antonia (Decunto) Lombari and the late Americo Lombari. She was a resident of Derry and Londonderry for 32 years. She was active in the Boy Scouts pack 521, and was a Hospice Volunteer for many years. She was most recently employed for Harvey Industries in Manchester and previously worked for Dunkin’ Donuts in Londonderry, where she was known simply as “Grandma.” Charley will best be remembered for her biting wit and her concern and care for others, as well as her high energy level and creativity.
She is survived by her three children, Cara Minardi of Las Vegas, NV, Raymond Minardi of Plano, TX, Michael Minardi, Esq. of Coral Springs, FL, one grandchild, Benjamin Minardi of Tewksbury, MA, her mother, Antonia Lombari of Salem, four sisters, Annette Clow of Derry, Amy Mason of Nashua, Joyce Robertson and Patricia Guilmette both of Salem, many aunts, uncles, nieces nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond P. Minardi in 1986.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday December 12th at 10:00am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry with cremation to follow. Friends may call at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry on Thursday from 6 - 9 pm.
