Gerald E. Jackson, Jr., 83, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Copley at Stoughton on Monday, October 18. He was the husband of Ida A. (Fowler) Jackson. Born and educated in Wilton, ME, he was a resident of Stoughton for 60 years. Mr. Jackson was a Private in the U.S. Army and a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a carpenter for Benson Enterprises in Easton for 7 years before retiring at age 62. He then was a Maintenance Supervisor for Jack Telio, Inc. in Newton for many years before retiring at age 81.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Jackson is survived by his children, Gerald E. Jackson of ME, Faith A. Jackson of Stoughton, David E. Jackson of Brockton and Buddy E. Jackson of Lee. He was the brother of Ann Doucet and Maddi both of TN and the late George and Robert Jackson. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service will be held at the VA National Cemetery, Connery Avenue, Bourne on Thursday, October 21 at 2:45 PM. Visiting Hours omitted. Donations in Gerald’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
