AUBURN
Katherine M. O’Neill, of Auburn, formerly of Framingham, passed away Friday, October 15 in the Webster Manor, Webster.
She leaves her sister, Maura A. O’Neill with whom she lived; her aunt, Theresa M. (Loughlin) Morse and her husband Charles of Auburn and many cousins. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Frederick L. and Alice E. (Loughlin) O’Neill and graduated second in her class from Marian High School and Cum Laude from Regis College in Weston.
Katherine was a writer for the former Record a subsidiary of the Telegram and Gazette, she also assisted in her sister’s law practice. Prior to that, she was a social worker for 19 years in Worcester and the Boston area. She was a member of Our Lady of the Providence Church, formerly St. Bernard’s Church in Worcester and loved gardening. At one time she was very active in the former New England Repertory Theatre in Worcester.
The funeral will be held Thursday, October 21, from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. Worcester with a Mass at 11 AM in Our Lady of Providence Church (formerly St. Bernard's Church), 228 Lincoln St. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Wednesday, October 20 from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
