Obituary

WORCESTER-Edna Mae (Brissette) Watson, 90, of Worcester died Monday, October 11th in her home. Her husband of 45 years, Leonard Watson died in November 1994. She leaves two daughters, Josephine W. Alvarez of Bronx, NY and Lenchea Randall of Brooklyn, NY; two brothers, Ruben Kerr of Lakewood, NJ and Rudolph Clarke of Yorkshire, England; four grandchildren, Patricia Randall, Junior Randall, Edwina Alvarez and Albert Alvarez; two great grandchildren, Sheree and Mandella and several nephews and nieces in England, Jamaica and USA. She was predeceased by a brother, Roy Clarke and a sister, Gertrude Clarke.
Edna was born in Jamaica, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brissette. She worked for the United States Post Office for 23 years in New York City and Worcester, retiring in 1990. Edna was a member of John Street Baptist Church and the Diamond Auxiliary at Christ Tabernacle. She was very active in her community and spent many hours volunteering at the Prospect House. Mrs. Watson was a very loving mother and grandmother.
The funeral is Saturday, October 23rd in John Street Baptist Church, 43 John Street with a service at 9:00 AM. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday, October 22nd from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue.
