Kevin P. Nowell age 52 of Brockton died Thursday October 7, 2010. He was the devoted husband of Nancy A. (Cicchetti) Nowell. Kevin was born and raised in Brockton a son of the late Darthea (Sargent) and Charles V. Nowell, Sr. and remained a lifelong resident of the city. A 1977 graduate of Brockton High School, Kevin worked as a clerk in several local stores.
Kevin loved riding bikes and cooking with his daughter. He also enjoyed the Boston Red Sox who, during his illness the team sent him autographed photos, memorabilia and even a small bag of Fenway dirt.
In addition to his wife Nancy, Kevin is survived by his daughter Laura A. Nowell of Brockton. He was the brother of Charles V. Nowell, Sr. of Salt Lake City, Utah; Rita Souza of Brockton; Pauline Weiner of Mansfield, John and Joseph Nowell both of Brockton, Carol Kenswil of Marion and the late Mary Johnston. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday October 16, 2010 12 to 1 pm. Donations in Kevin’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701.
