NEW BEDFORD — Barbara A. King, 84, died October 10, 2010 following a long illness. She was born in New Bedford, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Barrett) Penler.
She was the former owner of the King's Lampshade Shop in New Bedford with her husband, the late Frank G. King Jr.
Survivors include 4 children, Jeffrey King of New Bedford, Carolyn (King) Pinault of Swansea, David King of Plymouth, and Daniel King of West Wareham, 3 brothers, Robert Penler and James Penler of New Bedford and Eugene Penler of Green Valley, AZ, and six grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Visiting hours are on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 from 5-8 P.M. at the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St., New Bedford, Ma. Her service will take place on Wednesday at 10 A.M. at the funeral home, followed by burial in River-side Cemetery in Fairhaven
