Obituary

Aurelio A. Vivolo, of Medford, formerly of Somerville, died Friday in the Glen Ridge Nursing Center, after a long illness. He was 83.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Bernardino and the late Filomena (Gallichio) Vivolo. He served with the Seebees of the United States Navy in WW II. Aurelio worked as a supervisor with the US Postal Service for many years. Mr. Vivolo was a member of The Disabled American Veterans Post 21, Medford.

He is survived by his wife Doris Vivolo of Medford; daughter: Sandra Cody of Lee, NH;predeceased son: Stephen Vivolo; daughter in law: Gail McDowell of, NH; granddaughters: Melissa and Ashley McDowell. He also leaves his siblings: Lena Conti, Placido Vivolo, Louis Vivolo, Elena Vivolo, Armando Vivolo, and the late Alphonse, John and Anthony Vivolo.

Funeral will be held Tuesday at 8 AM from the Dello Russo Funeral Home,306 Main St., Medford, with a Funeral Mass at 9 AM in St. Anthony Church, Somerville. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Friends may call Monday from 4 thru 8.
