Mary "Marion" Walsh Thomas, of McDade-Chichilla Apartments, Olyphant, died Thursday at Hospice Community Care after a courageous battle with multiple illnesses.
Born in Dunmore, daughter of the late James and Margaret McCann Walsh, she attended Dunmore Schools and was previously employed by Linder Brothers and Haddon Craftsmen. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who lived for her family. She shared a special bond with her grandson. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by a daughter and best friend, Janet Thomas; the grandson she cherished, Ryan Skapyak; nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.
She also was preceded in death by five brothers, James, Paul, Eugene, Adrian and Edwin Walsh.
Funeral services will be Monday from the Michael P. Glinsky Funeral Home Inc., 129 Grant St., Olyphant, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Taylor Avenue, Scranton.
