Acie Oddo Sr. passed away Thursday October 7, 2010 at Pequot Medical Center in Groton.
Acie was the beloved husband of his devoted wife Harriet Oddo of 52 years.
Born in New London on November 15, 1939, he was the son of the late Joseph Oddo and Anna (Lamphere) Oddo Watrous.
Acie was an enthusiastic auto mechanic for the surrounding dealerships and recently retired from Doncasting in 2004. He enjoyed boating clamming, fishing, hunting, playing the guitar, gardening and spending time with his family.
Acie is survived by his son Acie Oddo Jr and his wife Marion of Exeter RI; four step-grandchildren and eight step-greatgrandchildren; son Joseph Oddo and wife Mary of Ledyard and granddaughters Allison and Caroline Oddo of Ledyard and many nieces and nephews.
Acie also leaves behind three brothers Charlie Oddo and his wife Mary of Montville, Ernie Bogue and wife Dottie of Montville, Earl Watrous and wife Marcie of Bozrah,
Acie was predeceased by his sister, Florence Alexander, three brothers Angelo Oddo Sr, George Oddo, and Johnny Oddo.
There will be a celebration of Acie’s life from 1pm to 4pm, with a service at 2pm, on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at his home at 11 West Packer Rd Mystic. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
