Obituary

Nathan P. Tarani, Sr, of Medford, died at home Tuesday in the company of his loving family. He was 82.

Born and raised in Waterbury, CT, he was the son of the late Louis and the late Agnes (Rinaldi) Tarani. A Medford resident for more than 60 years, Nathan served in the Army as a combat engineer during the Korean War. He was awarded 3 Bronze Service Stars. He worked in the construction industry throughout his life, first with Maggiore Construction and later with his own firm, Kana Construction. He was a member of Medford’s VFW Post 45 and well as the American Legion.

The beloved husband of Katherine M. (Poli) Tarani with whom he shared 60 years of marriage, he was a devoted father to Stephen Tarani of Washington, DC, Nathan Tarani, Jr. of Medford, Nadine LaRochelle and her husband Tom of Londonderry, NH. He was a loving grandfather to Melissa, Ashley and Andrew, the dear brother of Viola Tarani and the late Susanna Kennedy. He was a dear uncle to Billy and Eddy Ceccherini and many other nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday October 9th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
