Rita F. (Walsh) Millette age 91 died Tuesday October 5, 2010 at Lifecare of West Bridgewater. A longtime resident of Brockton, she was the wife of the late George Millette. Born in Boston and raised in Holbrook, Rita was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Fitzgerald) Walsh. A 1937 graduate of Sumner High School in Holbrook, Rita worked for many years at Armstrong Cork in Braintree.
In her free time Rita enjoyed designing and creating all types of crafts. She enjoyed the company of family and friends and loved to babysit everyone’s children. She had been very involved in the VFW Cootie Auxilary and gave 300 hours of her time.
Rita is survived by her nieces and nephews Joan Zonfrelli of Bridgewater; David Walsh of Hanson; Mary Piantoni of Mansfield; Robert Hayward of New Jersey; John Grant of Forestdale; Kathleen Foresta of Rockland; Ellen Dutcher of E. Bridgewater; Mary Haviland of Marlboro and Susan Erickson of Brockton. She also leaves many great nieces and nephews and was the sister of the late Ursula Hayward, Kathleen Grant, Andrew, Leo, Harold and Richard Walsh.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 pm.
