Adam J. O’Connor age 49 of Baltimore, MD formerly of Brockton died Saturday Oct. 2, 2010 at the University of Maryland Shock and Trauma Center. He succumbed to injuries sustained when struck as a pedestrian crossing a street in Pasadena, Maryland.
Adam was born and raised in Brockton a son of Suzanne (Paul) O’Connor of Brockton and the late John A. O’Connor and was a member of Brockton High School class of 1979. He had been a carpenter involved with many construction projects in Eastern Massachusetts. Adam used his carpentry skills to help with the rebuilding in New Orleans, La., Florida and Galveston, Texas after hurricanes devastated the areas.
Adam had an adventurous spirit and visited many parts of the United States and was particularly fond of shoreline areas. He loved all Boston sports especially football and was an avid reader of history and politics. He cherished the time he spent with his daughter and was extremely proud of her accomplishments.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his daughter Katie Albanese of Scituate. He was the brother of Matthew O’Connor of Brockton; Stacy O’Connor of Sherman, Texas; Kimberly Barrett and her husband Tom of E. Bridgewater; Cindilu Vanderstreet and her husband Steven of W. Bridgewater and the late Barry Reavis. He also leaves two aunts, an uncle, several cousins, many nieces and nephews and three grand nephews.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 9 am. Funeral Service in Trinity Episcopal Church 91 Main St. Bridgewater, MA at 10 am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Visiting hours Thursday 5-8 pm.
