METHUEN - Mary A. (Keraghan Charlesworth) English 92 of Methuen died Friday October 1, 2010 at home after an extended illness.
Born and educated in Lawrence, the daughter of Clinton P. and Mary A (Kennedy) Keraghan, and was a graduate of St. Mary’s Grammar and St. Mary’s High School in Lawrence.
She was a parishioner of St. Monica’s Church in Methuen, where she sewed 1000 white baptismal gowns for infants, donated monthly to Bread and Roses and knitted many hats and mittens for the Lazarus House.
Mary was pre-deceased by her two husbands Daniel F. English and Arthur B. Charlesworth. She is survived by her daughter Patricia A. and her husband James R. Duffen of Hooksett, NH.
Three grandchildren Joseph Duffen of Raymond, NH, James Duffen of Derry, NH and Michael Duffen of Barnstead, NH.
Sister Virginia G. and her husband Robert C. Leyland of North Andover, MA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Mary was also pre-deceased by her sisters Agnes M. Bluemel, Grace E. Keraghan, Nora T. Harrison, Claire M. Broadhead, Imelda P. Keogh and Florence A. Kereghan.
ARRANGEMENTS: In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Mary’s name to Merrimack Valley Hospice 360 Merrimack Street BLDG 9 Lawrence, MA 01843. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9:00a.m. in St. Monica’s Church in Methuen with burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
