Linda Susan (Evans) Waterman, 58, of Woodrow Ave. , passed away Friday, October 1, 2010 at her home with her family by her side.
Linda was born December 23, 1951 in New London , the daughter of the late Ralph C. Evans Sr. and Lillian G. (Barnard) Evans.
She was a graduate of Robert E. Fitch Sr. High School in Groton .
She married David Waterman July 14, 2001 at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Norwich .
She had worked as a CNA for over 25 years.
Linda was a very loving and giving person who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, who were extremely important to her. She was a member of the Laurel Hill Fire Department and was always helping others around her. She was an animal lover who especially loved her birds and dogs. She enjoyed crafts, especially sewing and quilting. She was a collector of nutcrackers and was an avid NASCAR fan. She enjoyed the music of Michael Jackson, Yanni, The Beatles and John Lennon.
In addition to her mother Lillian and husband David, Linda is survived by her children Cliff Cochran Jr., Robert Cochran, Mandy-Lyn Crispim, sisters Pamela L. Slocum and Cynthia D. Evans, and by her grandchildren Alexis M. Cormier and Alixandre Cochran.
In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her brother Ralph C. Evans Jr.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 6:30pm at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Norwich . Calling hours will be held two hours prior from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. Burial will be at a later date.
