Obituary

Augusta, GA---Elizabeth Moss Kinsey, 90, entered into rest on Friday, October 1, 2010 at National Healthcare of North Augusta.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm, tomorrow Monday, October 4, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of North Augusta, 625 Georgia Avenue, North Augusta, SC, with Reverend Jerry T. Matthews officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park, Augusta, GA.
Miss Elizabeth was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. She had been employed for 33 years with the Richmond County Clerk of Court office. She was a former Richmond County Employee of the Year and former runner up, for the State of Georgia Employee of the Year.
Miss Elizabeth was a lifelong member of St. Luke United Methodist Church, on Crawford Avenue, but attended the First Baptist Church of North Augusta, where she was a member of the Faithful Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, James Wade Kinsey and by her parents, Ben and Norma Moss.
Survivors include her brother, Dr. B. F. “Ben” Moss, Jr. and wife, Jane of Augusta, GA, her children, James F. “Jimmy” Kinsey of Columbus, MS, Martha Elizabeth Kinsey of Aiken, SC, Joseph B. “Ben” Kinsey and wife, Laurie of North Augusta, SC and David E. Kinsey of Augusta, GA, as well as, twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, special friend, Andrew Martin Price and “Bunny Boy”.
The family wishes to say a special “Thank You”, to Dr. David Squires and the staff of Augusta Oncology Associates and the staff of National Healthcare of North Augusta “Jasmine Wing”, for the special and loving care given to Miss Elizabeth.
We, the children, wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to all, of the Augusta and Richmond County employees, for your love, generosity and prayers, for our Mother.
The family will receive friends, this evening Sunday, October 3, 2010, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Platt’s Crawford Avenue.
Pallbearers will be Jim Kinsey, Ben Kinsey, David Kinsey, Ben Moss, Mark Wilhelmi and Anibil Negron. Honorary pallbearers will be Dunbar Dyches, Jr., Dan Craven, members of the Faithful Sunday School Class and employees of Augusta and Richmond County.
