Filomena (DeGregorio) Moscaritolo, of Somerville, died suddenly, Wednesday at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She was 72.
Born in Italy, she was the daughter of the late Attilio and the late Gelsomina (Barisano) DeGregorio.
Filomena first settled in Boston’s North End and then moved to Somerville 21 years ago. She was a dedicated wife and mother who loved the company of her family. She was the beloved wife of Paolo Moscaritolo, devoted mother of Lena Bekali and her husband Benmahidi, Mario Moscaritolo and his wife Carmela all of Somerville and loving grandmother to Fattouma Bekali. She was the dear sister of Argentina Ciriello of Somerville, the late Vincenzo and Emilio Di Gregorio.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford Saturday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford Street, Somerville, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family Friday from 4 to 9 PM.Services will conclude with entombment at Woodlawn Community Mausoleum.
