Beatrice “Bea” Ferrante, a long-time Medford resident died Thursday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was 89.
Bea was raised in Medford, the daughter of the late Leon and the late Vartanoush (Aroyian) Esa. A graduate of Medford High with the class of 1939, Bea was a long-time co-chair of her class reunion. For many years she was a salesperson at the former Gilchrist in Medford Sq, she was an Avon representative and before her retirement worked in the accounting department for Ryder Truck Rental in Medford and Stoneham.
The beloved wife of the late Frank Ferrante, she was a loving and devoted mother to Donna Serra and her husband Joseph of Stoneham, and Carol Dempsey and her husband Ken of Burlington. She was a loving to Lisa Wiggs and her husband Jeremy, Melissa Outerbridge and her husband David and Ken Dempsey, Jr. She was a loving great- grandmother to Brenna Tedesco and Halle Outerbridge. The dear sister of the late Mary Arakelian, Bea also leaves many dear nieces and nephews.
A funeral Service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday, October 2nd at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
