Linda (Sherwood) Kapinos, 66, of 86 South Quinsigamond Ave., passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, September 28, 2010 in U.Mass-Memorial Hospital, Memorial Campus.
She leaves behind her husband of 16 years, John M. Kapinos, of Shrewsbury, one son , Douglas C. "Chris" DeVries and his partner Bernice Hill of Readsboro,Vt., one brother, William H. Sherwood of Southbridge, 2 grandchildren, Brian and Amber Hill and one nephew.She also leaves a dear friend,Jean Pitts.
Lynn was born in Webster daughter of Herbert W. and Isabelle G. (Phelps) Sherwood and lived in Oxford for many years.
She graduated from Oxford High School and was class Valedictorian.She also graduated from Worcester State College.
Linda worked as a directory assistant for Verizon in Gardner for many years.
She was a member of the Mass. Society of Geneology and was a nature lover.
Funeral Services for Linda will be Friday, October 1, 2010 at 11 AM in the Robert J. Miller-Oxford Funeral Home, 247 Main St.,Oxford. Burial will be in North Hill Cemetery in Readsboro, Vermont.
A Calling hour will be Friday from 10 to 11 AM prior to the service.
