GLOUCESTER: Michael P. Orlando, 78, formerly of Poplar Park, died Monday, September 27, 2010 in the Addison Gilbert Hospital following an extended illness.
Born in Gloucester on September 23, 1932, he was the son of the late Anthony and Phyllis (Nicastro) Orlando. Mike was a lifelong resident of Gloucester and had worked as a fish cutter along the Gloucester waterfront.
He is survived by his former spouse, Geraldine (Munroe) Orlando, daughter-in-law, Susan (Myett) Orlando, grandchildren, Michael Orlando, Amanda Orlando and Phillip “PJ” Orlando, sister, Phyllis, wife of the late Norman Moore, brother, Charles “Lucky” Orlando, sister-in-law, Mary Orlando, and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his son, Michael A. Orlando and nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held privately. There are no visiting hours.
