Aram P. Fleurant Jr. 86, died Tuesday in Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Phyllis (Dulude) Fleurant. Mr. Fleurant was born in Woonsocket a son of the late Aram P. Fleurant Sr. and Dora (Gouin) Fleurant. He graduated from Assumption High School in Worcester, and Hill College in Woonsocket. Mr. Fleurant was a WWII Navy veteran. He was the President of Milot Bros. Lumber in Woonsocket. He was a member of the Woonsocket Jaycees, served on the Fleet Bank Woonsocket Advisory Board, the Woonsocket Industrial Development Foundation, and the North Smithfield Budget Committee. Mr. Fleurant was an active member of the Woonsocket Rotary Club serving as president from 1966-1967, and was a very viable and active member of the fundraising committee for many years.
He is survived by a son Pierre Fleurant of Arlington, MA, and a brother Francis Fleurant and his wife Barbara of North Smithfield., and a grandson William Fleurant of Cambridge MA, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Fleurant's funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial with military honors will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday 5-8PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to: The Woonsocket Rotary Foundation, P.O.
