Gracie Owens White, 61, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.
Funeral services will be held 4 P.M. Friday, October 1, 2010 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with Pastor Randy Holt officiating. Interment will follow in Arp Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. White was born September 22, 1949 in Fitzgerald to the late Thomas Bryant and Avis Richardson Owens. She lived in Fitzgerald and Rochelle most of her life, graduating from Wilcox County High School in 1967. Mrs. White was a homemaker and a member of the Holiness faith.
Mrs. White is survived by her husband: David W. White of Fitzgerald; brothers: Donald Owens of Rochelle and Frank Owens of Fitzgerald; sisters: Barbara Ann Bridges of Cordele, Glenda Peters of Fitzgerald and Eva Jo Jackson of Austell as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Gerald and Wayne Owens.
