South Lawrence, MA – Lucy M. (Magness) Abdoo, died Tuesday September 28, 2010 at the Wingate at Andover.
Mrs. Abdoo was born in Oklahoma the daughter of Earl and Agnes (Moore) Magness and resided in South Lawrence where she was a longtime resident.
For 33 years she had been employed as a Layout Operator with the former Western Electric of North Andover before her retirement. She enjoyed cooking, and bowling and most of all Lucy’s family meant a great deal to her.
Mrs. Abdoo is the widow of Michael F. Abdoo and is survived by children; Mitchell Abdoo of Methuen, Donna and husband Thomas Laverriere also of Methuen, Douglas of South Lawrence, and David and his wife Stephanie Abdoo of South Lawrence, one sister Donna Pace, 6 grandchildren; Earl, Hilary, Nicholas, Katy, Elizabeth and Michael, 3 greatgrandchildren Tanner, Caroline, and Steven as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Wingate, on the Ground Floor, for their care and compassion.
A Funeral Service will take place on Friday morning at 10:30 AM from the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen with burial to follow in the United Lebanese Cemetery of Andover.
Friends may call on Thursday September 30, 2010 from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.
