WASHINGTON…Robert L. Kristler, 78, of Washington, passed away at 10:45 a.m., Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at OSF Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born on March 24, 1932 in Linton, Indiana to Everett and Dora Kristler. Robert married Ermel R. Pirtle in Linton on October 2, 1954. She died on May 2, 1994 in Peoria.
Among those surviving are two daughters, Marsha (Donnie) Montgomery of East Peoria and Marlya (Bob) Wooley of Sandwich, Illinois; two sons, Lonnie (Karen) Kristler of Washington and Michael (Sue) Kristler of Greenwood, Indiana; six grandchildren, Angie Wages, Nathan Connelly, Shauna Kristler, Matthew Kristler, Cody Kristler, Micaylah Wooley and Tyler Wooley and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers.
Robert was retired from Kroger in East Peoria where he had worked in the warehouse for more than 35 years and was also a member of Teamsters Local.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 1 at 2 p.m. at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Jeff Browning officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to services on Friday and burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Metamora.
