Laconia-----Edna W. Baker, 82, of 30 County Drive, died at the Belknap County Nursing Home on Sunday, September 26, 2010. Mrs. Baker was the widow of Elias G. Baker who died in 1999.
Mrs. Baker was born January 23, 1928 in Hartford, Connecticut, the daughter of the late Leslie and Mindy (Oren) Lane. She lived most of her life in the Lakes Region and was a former member of the Laconia Emblem Club.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph Baker of Laconia and Arthur Baker of Belmont; a daughter, Linda Gilbert, of Sarasota, Florida; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur Lane of Brunswick, Maine and Leslie Lane of Laconia; a sister, Ann Lance, of Sanbornton and many nephews and nieces.
There will be no calling hours.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 1:00PM at the family lot in Union Cemetery, Academy Street, Laconia, N.H.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Belknap County Nursing Home, 30 County Drive, Laconia, N. H. 03246.
