Evans – Mr. James Boyd Ogdin, 79, beloved husband of the late Elaine Ogdin, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at his residence, with his family by his side.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Riverview United Methodist Church with the Rev. Elton Lawson officiating.
Mr. Ogdin was a native of Athens, Tennessee. He was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Tennessee, and did his graduate work in Business at East Tennessee State University. He served in the United States Army, and retired from the Eastman Chemical Company. He was an avid golfer, member of the Amberly Bridge Club and Romeo Club, and loved his Vols.
He is survived by his daughters, Cindy Senger and her husband, Tom, and Karen Norton and husband, Ronald. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Allison Sanderson and husband Allen, Katie Dalton, Summerlyn Norton, Emily Senger, Kelly Dalton, Madison Norton and Michael Dalton.
