August “Harvey” Adams age 72 of Pattonsburg IL, passed away at 10:54pm Tuesday Sept. 21, 2010 at his residence. He was born July 12, 1938 in Peoria IL, to Francis L. and Mary M. (Colvin) Adams.
Surviving is one daughter Sarah (Charlie) Rice of Pekin; grandsons Ryan, Cody, and Steven all of Pekin. One sister Suzie (Dennis) Seckler of Metamora. Nieces; Daphne (Jeff) Clarkson of Congerville IL, and Jessica (Kevin) Taylor of E. Peoria. One nephew Dennis Seckler of Metamora. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Margie Adams, and his wife Reba.
Harvey worked on building and grounds for State Police District 8 from 1974 until his retirement in 2000. He loved country music and Elvis and enjoyed watching western movies with John Wayne.
Service will be at 11:00am Saturday Sept. 25, 2010 at the Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel. Daryle Stonier officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4pm until 6pm at the Funeral Home and also one hour prior to services.
Burial will be in Belle Plain Baptist Cemetery in Pattonsburg IL. Memorials can be given to the American Heart Association. Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com
