JANET L. (GIRARD) JOHNSON, 57, of Carver, formerly of Hingham and Scituate, died on Tuesday, Sept. 21st, 2010 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after a long illness. She was born in Biddeford, Maine and was raised and educated in Hingham. Janet loved dancing, fishing and snowmobiling. She was the sister of Karen M. Cossette and her husband Wayne of Hingham, Steven L. Girard and his wife Kathy of California and Ronald F. Girard of Brockton. Also survived by her nephew Ian J. Cossette of Hingham and her companion Paul W. Reardon of Carver.
A Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday, Sept. 25th at 12 Noon at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham. Friends may visit at the Downing Chapel prior to the service from 10 AM - 12 Noon.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Bookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7226. The interment is to be private.
