Obituary

Robert Alan Bryant, 61, a resident of Auburn, NH for 27 years, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the Veteran's Hospital in Manchester. Born in Boston, MA to the late Clarence T. and Christine (Jacobus) Bryant, he was a sweeper driver for the Teamsters Local 4 for many years.
Bob enjoyed long drives through the countryside, snowmobiling, camping and fishing. He especially loved spending time around the backyard campfire with his children, friends and family. He was a member of the Dart Club in North Reading, MA and was affectionately known as "Bear". He served his country proudly during the Vietnam War in the United States Army as an aircraft electrician, and was an active member of the American Legion Post 9 in Derry, NH.
He leaves his beloved wife of 35 years, Peggyann (Dick) Bryant, along with their children, Jason Alan Bryant and his wife, Nicole, of Concord, NH and Crystal Lynn Bryant of Auburn, NH. He also leaves his two precious grandchildren, Alexis Brooke Bryant and Ashlyn Nicole Bryant, his brother, Clarence (Ted) Bryant and his wife Donna of Hebron, NH, sisters, Barbara Robitaille and her husband Dennis of Derry, NH, Samantha Szulerecki and her son Paul Cargill, and Beverly Hodges and her husband Paul, all of Florida, along with several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends Sunday, September 26th, from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St. Derry, with a celebration of his life held Monday at 10am in the funeral home. The interment followed with military honors at the New Hampshire Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. Donations may be made in memory of Mr. Bryant to the Manchester VA Medical Center Palliative Care Unit, 718 Smyth Rd., Manchester, NH 03104.
