Obituary

Anna M (Obert) Witkos, 97 years old, widow of the late Joseph S. Witkos who died in 1998, died Sunday afternoon at the Genesis Westford House.
Born in Lowell on July 14, 1913, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Wila) Obert. She spent her early childhood in Tewksbury, a member of a large family and attended schools in that town. She then moved to Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High School. She lived in the Belvidere section of Lowell for many years and in 2006 she moved to Chelmsford Crossing.
For over 25 years, Mrs. Witkos worked as an assembler for the Raytheon Corporation. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, country music but most of all she loved tending to her vegetable garden.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews all over the country and by her many friends she lived with at Chelmsford Crossing that made her final years most enjoyable.
