Donald F. Wilbur, 77, of E. King Rd., Tiverton died Monday, September 20, 2010 at Evergreen Nursing Home in E. Providence. He was husband of the late Faye M. (Smith) Wilbur.
Born in Fall River, he was son of the late Hervey M. and Emeline (Snell) Wilbur. A veteran of the Korean War, he served his country in the United States Army. Prior to retirement, he was a civil engineer for the former Guild Drilling Company of E. Providence for over 40 years. He was a member of the Bliss Four Corners Church, Tiverton where he served as deacon for over 40 years. Mr. Wilbur was a member of the Mended Heart Organization. He loved gardening, his apple orchard and country music.
Survivors include 2 sons: William H. Wilbur of Tiverton and Adam R. Wilbur and his wife Tanya of Fall River; a daughter: Jennifer E. Wilbur of Fall River; 4 grandchildren: Aleasha, Kyle, Christian and Kayelyn; nieces: Beth Motta and Diane Trabert and several other nieces and nephews.
He was father of the late Donald F. Wilbur, Jr. and brother of the late Constance Thornsbury.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the Bliss Four Corners Church, Tiverton at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Friday 5 – 8 P.M. at the Potter Funeral Home.
Interment in Pleasant View Cemetery, Tiverton.
