New Bedford – Alzira Pereira, age 90, died Monday, September 20, 2010 at Royal Taber St. Nursing and Rehab Center. Alzira was the wife of the late Jose Pereira. She was the mother of Joaquim M. Pereira and his wife Rosa of New Bedford and the late Ze-To Pereira, Mother-in-Law of Judith Pereira of Brandon Florida, sister of Miquelina Pereira of New Bedford and Antonio Pereira of Lisbon, Portugal and the late Joaquim Pereira. She is survived by 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Pereira was the daughter of the late Conceicao (Pereira) and Joaquim Pereira. She was born in Figueira da Foz, Portugal and lived in New Bedford area since 1968.
Mrs. Pereiras’ visiting hours will be at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. Thursday from 5-8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited. Her funeral and Burial will take place in Portugal. Please omit Flowers.
