Lloyd Tucker, 83, of Ocilla, Georgia died Monday, September 20 at Langdale Hospice House in Valdosta, where he lived for the past four months to be near his children who cared for him.
Funeral services will be held 10 A.M. Wednesday, September 22, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla with Elder Travis Fussell officiating. Interment will follow in Old Valley Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mr. Tucker was born June 20, 1927 in Ocilla to the late Wilburn and Velma Adams Tucker. He lived in Ocilla most of his life. Mr. Tucker was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a retired mechanic, and a former employee of Orange Buick Company, for Larry Barfield, Luke Oil Company and for Bobby Wheeler. He attended Old Valley Grove Primitive Baptist Church.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Lisa & Dewey Register and a son and daughter-in-law: Gregory L. & Cheryl Tucker, all of Valdosta; 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Tucker.
