Obituary

Michael G. Watier, 54, of Muron Ave., Bellingham, died Thursday at home.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of Alfred N. Watier of Bellingham and the late Lucille T. (Lamoureux) Watier. He was a resident of Bellingham for most of his life.
Mr. Watier was a graduate of Mount Saint Charles Academy, Class of 1974.
He was employed by Oxford Auto Sales in Oxford, MA for many years and was also a self-employed auto mechanic.
Michael’s passion in life was building, restoring, and customizing cars and trucks.
He also enjoyed bowling and day trips to area destinations.
Michael had a special love for his best friend and constant companion Doreen F. (Bousquet) Watier of Woonsocket.
In addition to his father, Alfred, and his companion Doreen, Michael is survived by two brothers, Alfred M. Watier and Ronald Watier, both of North Smithfield. He was the brother of the late Robert Watier. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be Tuesday at 9:00 am from the Menard Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Theresa’s Church, Rathubn St. Blackstone. Burial will be at a later date. Visiting hours are Monday from 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Michael’s memory to a charity of your choice.
