G. Kendall "Ken" Nylin, 75, of 133 N. Sturbridge Rd., passed away, Thursday, September 16, 2010 in the Overlook Masonic Healthcare in Charlton.
Ken leaves his wife of 26 years, Patricia (Fogarty) Nylin, one sister, Marilyn wife of R. Emerson Brooks,Jr., of Worcester, nephews, including, Roger E. Brooks and his wife Rene`, Jonathan G. Brooks and his wife Shelley, Jeremy W. Brooks and his wife Barbara, and a brother-in-law, John B. Fogarty,also niece, Michelle C. Fogarty,nephew, Jeffrey C. Morin, grand niece, Elizabeth R. Brooks, and grand nephews, R. Emerson Brooks,IV, Ethan J. Brooks, Jonathan G. Brooks, Jr., and Troy J. Morin.
Ken was born in Worcester, son of C. George and Lily M. (Sjoberg) Nylin.
He was a 1955 graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology and a 1957 graduate of Northeastern University.
He was a member of the Worcester Economics Club, a 50 years member of Morningstar Lodge of Masons in Worcester, MELHA Shriners of Springfield. Ken owned and operated Nylin Supply Associates and was also a real estate developer. He was also involved and active in Charlton, serving on several town committees, including the municipal building committee, master plan committee, and the Charlton ambulance board.
He and his wife summered at Point O'Woods in South Lyme,Ct. for 26 years.
Ken's Funeral Service will be Monday, September 20, 2010 at 10AM in the Robert J. Miller-Charlton Funeral Home, 175 Old Worcester Rd. Burial will follow in West Ridge Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Sunday, September 19, 2010 from 4PM to 7PM in the the funeral home.
Morningstar Lodge will conduct their Masonic Ritual for Brother Nylin, Sunday at 6:30PM.
