Patricia B.(McAskill) Thatcher, 65, of Milford formerly of Grafton, Norton and Franklin passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday September 16, 2010 at the University of Massachusetts/ Memorial Healthcare in Worcester.
Born in Boston, MA on July 22, 1945 she was a dear daughter of the late Francis McAskill, the late Dorothy (Sipula) McLean, and the late Edna Baker, who helped raise her.
A dedicated homemaker to her adoring family, Patricia was educated in Norton and was a former member of the Trinitarian Congregational Church in Norton.
Patricia had made her home in Milford for the past 10 years and while living in the Milford area was a member of the Cross Roads Clubhouse in Milford and had attended Riverside Community Care in Upton.
Pat especially enjoyed writing poetry and had the distinction of having some of her poetry published in the National Poet Society. Her other hobbies included solving crossword puzzles and playing bingo. In addition to being a former Norton resident she had also made her home in Grafton and in Franklin.
She is survived by her devoted children Scott W. Thatcher of Taunton, Holly E. Thatcher of New Bedford and Shane E. Thatcher of Worcester. She was the dear sister of Dorothy Perrott of Attleboro Falls and is also survived by her cherished 4 grandchildren as well as several nieces nephews and cousins.
Funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Monday September 20th at 11:00 a.m. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton. Burial will follow in the Norton Center Cemetery, Norton.
Visitation will be held on Monday morning prior to services beginning at 9:00 at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.
