Catherine L. Nolan
...beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother; 90
TEWKSBURY - Catherine Lucille (Doucette) Nolan, age 90, a member of two well known Tewksbury and Wilmington families, died Thursday afternoon, September 16, four days short of her 91st birthday. She was the beloved wife for 70 years of Louis B. Nolan, who died February 16th, 2009.
She was born September 20, 1919, in Wilmington, one of six children of the late Percy and Isabel (Babine) Doucette. She was raised in Wilmington, but had lived the greater part of her life in Tewksbury. In retirement, she and Louis had wintered in Starke, Florida.
She was among the founding families of St. Dorothy's Church in Wilmington, and worked for many years as a waitress at Rocco's Family Restaurant in Wilmington.
She is survived by three daughters, Catherine McMahon and her husband Paul of West Bridgewater, Mary Lou Fleury and her husband Andrew of Tewksbury, Charlotte Hureau and her husband Philip of Lowell; two sons, Paul Nolan and his wife Marilyn (Adams) of Andover, James Nolan and his wife Louise Ann (Schubert) of Arkansas; a son-in-law, Michael Riddle of Wilmington; sixteen grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; a brother, Melvin Doucette and his wife Dorothy (Allen) of Groveland; a sister, Anne Ring of Wilmington; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also mother of the late Dorothy Riddle, and sister of the late Edward Doucette, Charlotte Doucette, and Dorothy Antonelli.
Her Funeral Mass was held Monday, September 20, in St. Dorothy's Church, Wilmington. Burial followed at Tewksbury Cemetery.
