Belmont-------Simone R. (Nadeau) Fortin, 71, of 59 Dutile Road, died at her home on Thursday, September 16, 2010.
Mrs. Fortin was born April 7, 1939 in Laconia, N.H., the daughter of Alfred and Marie Anne (Villeneuve) Nadeau. She was a lifelong resident of the Laconia-Belmont area and had been employed as a seamstress at Brookfield Enterprises for seventeen years.
Mrs. Fortin was a communicant of St. Joseph Parish in Belmont. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and her Wednesday craft group friends.
Survivors include a son, James Fortin, of Belmont; two daughters, Lu-Ann Fortin Foley and her husband, Yarby, of Woburn, Massachusetts and Gayle Price and her husband, David, of Belmont; six grandchildren, Jillian Fortin, Kyle Foley, Derrick Fortin, Lauren Price, Kirstie Foley and Douglas Price; two brothers, Rene Nadeau and his wife, Barbara, and André Nadeau and his wife, Rachel, four sisters, Claire Giguere and her husband, Robert, Jeannette Giguere, Florence Guilmett and her husband, Arthur, and Edna Foote and many nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fortin was predeceased by her husband of fifty years, Maurice J. Fortin, on July 1, 2008, by a brother-in-law, Donald Giguere, and by a sister & brother-in-law, Lorraine & Sylvio Labbe.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 20, 2010 from 5:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Parish, 96 Main Street, Belmont, N.H.
Burial will follow in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia, N. H.
