Ellen Morris Turner, 79, of Tifton died Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 19, 2010, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Her son, Rob Patrick, will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Her sons, Jason and Kelly Turner and Mike Delk, Luke Sellars, Mathew Dale and Clay Childers will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 18, 2010, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Turner was born on January 17, 1931 in Haskell, Oklahoma and was the daughter of Thomas A. Morris and Jerusha Neddo Morris, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Captain David Turner; and one sister, Peggy Stokes. She was a homemaker and a member of Tifton’s First Assembly of God.
Mrs. Turner is survived by three sons, Rob Patrick of Chula, Jason Turner of Tifton and Kelly Turner of Tifton; one brother, Tom Morris of Texaskana, Texas; two sisters, Wanda O’Donnel of Mountain Home, Arkansas and Wilma Kuhlig of Newport, Tennessee; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
