Ann M. Allen, 93, of Norfolk, died Monday, September 13, 2010 at Caritas Norwood Hospital.
Born in Norfolk on April 4, 1917, she was a daughter of the late William J. and Mary (Hayes) Allen. Miss Allen was a lifelong resident of Norfolk and graduated from Walpole High School.
Before her retirement, Miss Allen was a secretary in the Norwood Public Schools superintendent’s office for several years. She had previously worked as a secretary at the Bird & Son floor covering plant in South Norwood.
Miss Allen was an active parishioner at the former St. Jude's Chapel in Norfolk.
She is survived by her sister, Margaret T. Keenan of Norfolk and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late John Allen and M. Florence Doucette.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Saturday, September 18 from the Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main St. in Walpole at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Jude’s Church, 86 Main Street in Norfolk at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow in Norfolk Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 – 8 p.m.
