Obituary

LEICESTER: Michael J. Fitzpatrick 63, of 55 King St., died Sunday, Sept. 12 at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.

He leaves his wife of 37 years, Carolyn M. (Lidekauskas) Fitzpatrick, two sons Sean M. Fitzpatrick and his wife Sarah of Spencer, and Todd J. Fitzpatrick of Worcester, three brothers Hilary Fitzpatrick and John W. Fitzpatrick both of Worcester and James Fitzpatrick of Holden, a sister Nancy Hardiman of Worcester, two grandsons Ryan and Michael Fitzpatrick and a granddaughter Cassandra Fitzpatrick, many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother Paul Fitzpatrick and sisters Beverly Farr and Kathy Gedman.

He was born in Worcester the son of James E. and Agnes (Curnin) Fitzpatrick. He graduated from Commerce High School and attended Worcester State College. He later served two tours of duty during the Vietnam War with the U.S. Marine Corps.

Michael was an inspector at Wyman Gordon Co. in Worcester and Grafton for 23 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of Greendale Peoples Church, the Greendale Retired Men’s Club and a former member of the Spencer Grand Squares.

A Memorial Service for Michael will be held on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 11 A.M. in the Greendale Peoples Church, 25 Francis St., Worcester, MA 01606.

Burial will be at a later date in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester at the convenience of the family. Please omit flowers, contributions may be made to Greendale Peoples Church, 25 Francis St., Worcester, Ma. The Morrison-Morin Funeral Home, 1131 Main St., Leicester are directing arrangements.
